Jcat Beauty MOTD Slide on Pencil for Eyes and Lips

I have been obsessed with “experimenting” with new brands recently, basically trying beauty products that are available online. So here is my review on Jcat beauty’s new line of products MOTD waterproof slide on pencil for eyes and lips. They have a nice color variety and nice bold shades for spring and summer.

I never leave my house without doing my lips, and I am pretty sure they will definitely look much prettier and sexier if applied with a good lip liner before applying a lipstick or gloss. I have a bunch of lipliners in all color ranges, and I keep trying new ones as I go through a lot of them quickly. The 4 shades I got from Jcat beauty  are the MOTD waterproof slide on pencil for lips in the color Natural, Amaranth Pink, Plum and brown.

I love the natural and plum, the natural is my lips but better and my go to for everyday and the Amaranth Pink is candy yum yum and goes with all pink shades. The color plum is a deep berry shade with rich red undertone so this is good with red lipstick or anything brighter. The last color is brown, I haven’t got much use of it yet, may be I will try for eyes!

These can be worn alone or paired with lipstick or lipgloss layered on top or just a balm also looks good. When I first used these lip liners, I found its not too dry if worn alone and glided quite smoothly. It is creamy and spreads on effortlessly. It is also smudge resistant and will stay on for hours. But defiantly waterproof, I had these on my lips went for dinner and still my lips had the tint of color from these lip liners.

Coming to the eyeliners, these requires more sharpening, because they are super creamy and go on very smoothly. And you end up sharpening more often. They don’t tug or need pressure when applying. These smudges or blends beautifully, after application and doesn’t fade, but you need to be quick in doing else they are hard to budge from its place. With soft stroke of pencil you get ultra dark line. I really love the look of this for the waterline. For extra staying power just dry your waterline before using a Q-tip and this stays till you remove your makeup.

The 4 colors I got are classic Jet black, Light brown, Turquoise and Platinum. There is no brainer I just love the black and brown the most and get good use of it on daily basis. I have tried brown on my brows but its a strict no-no. I was too harsh as it is too soft in texture for the brows so I am only using it on eyes. Turquoise is a good spring color and have used it a couple of times on my lower water line just on the outer corner and it gives a nice spring feeling.

Check out the swatches, they have a very good pigmentation and buttery soft on application. The wear time was really tested when I did some tattoo on my toddler’s hand and it stayed on for all afternoon and evening till I had to scrub off with olive oil at night!

The best part is it is affordable with a good variety of color selection and waterproof but the only downfall is that I wish it came in retractable and not needed to be sharpened. Overall quite impressed by their new line. Will check on other products soon.

Have you tried any Jcat beauty products, let me know which ones are worth giving a try.

    1. Kelly, you either buy a sharper from Jcat beauty, which can be used for both large jumbo and normal pencils. I also think you get similar one from wetnwild as well. Also elf carries a normal sharper for regular pencils. Just check your drugstore and try any of these.. Hope it helps
