May 2015 IPSY Bag Review
We in Pacific Northwest receive our Ipsy bags so late that by the time we enjoy the contents, Ipsy would have sneak peeks for next month!
So before I start my sneak peeks for June I would want to share my thoughts on May bag, even though I haven’t got a chance to use all items.
First of all, I am super impressed by the bag, all the 3 bags that were featured were really cute. I love the canvas bag lined with a nylon interior making it easy to clean. This will be one bag that I will really make good use of it.
Skone Cosmetics Pretty eyes eyeliner: Great color and glides on very smoothly. It is highly pigmented rich color and easy twist tip is all good, but it smudges very easily. Doesn’t dry at all. I left it for more than 20 mins and still was able to smudge it from my hand, so this is not going as eyeliner alone. Has to be set with a eyeshadow or use it as base for blue smoky eyes. Not really going to use it much as I feel it is 2 step process.
IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream: This is one product I always wanted to try and I was so glad I got one to test. The color medium is a perfect match and once I use up this mini tube I will be purchasing full size product.
If you are looking to trying out this CC cream here are my thoughts on this cream : It feels really light weight on skin and covers most of the spots without making it feel too heavy on skin. Since it has good amount of sunscreen the texture of the product is a little think so blends well with a buffing brush. This will be my go to product for summer. Gives a flawless finish but not full coverage on 1 layer of application, so it tricks to think that you have naturally good skin without having applied any foundation. It does not claim long lasting and clearly states to reapply every 2 hours but I was able to pull off for 5-6 hours without having to reapply. Totally loved this product, one of my favorites.
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil -Ozone(Clear) : I loved getting a clear lip pencil Ozone from Urban decay. I would have never spent 20$ for this, so it was nice to try and see how it works. It did a good job in holding liquid lipsticks from bleeding and feathering all over. The glosses are gorgeous, with a ton of pigmentation and shine. I was able to use pink as is, but the purple had to be toned down a bit with a nude JCat liquid lipstick and it was wearable.
Klorane Smoothing and relaxing patches: Did not get a chance to try yet. But I saw a recent video of Michelle Phan using it under the eyes and then later reusing them above eyebrows and on certain parts of face. So I will be giving it a try soon.
Briogeo Leave-in conditioner spray : My hair is dry, curly and unmanageable, so anything to condition I would be glad to try! Briogeo Rosario Milk smelled lovely and applied on my wet hair, did make my hair smell nice but did not do much conditioning on my first use. So I will use this regularly to see if it makes any difference.
Overall I really liked the bag, IT cosmetics CC cream and UD lip pencil made my bag and also the bag itself.
