DIY Coffee Body Scrub

Ingredients & Why They Work:

Ground Coffee –  The caffeine present in coffee, stimulates blood flow and circulation when applied on skin and in turn helps in cell regeneration. Also coffee’s texture is an exfoliant which removes dead cells and loose skin and reduce inflammation, smooth the skin, brighten, and even reduce the appearance of cellulite

Coconut oil – I love coconut oil! It has tons of Vitamin E, which is the ultimate anti-aging vitamin. It is a great moisturizer that delays wrinkles and sagging, plus its antibacterial properties help prevent breakouts!

Sugar – Removes dead skin to allow the skin underneath to become hydrated and rejuvenated. I prefer to use brown sugar because it is less abrasive.

Procedure: It doesn’t have to be exact, but my ratio is something like 1/2 cup of coffee grounds, 1/4 cup of coconut oil(melted, not how I showed in pic), 1/4 cup sugar.

You can add Peppermint, lavender or any extract if you like or just skip.

You can make bigger batches and store in a sealed jar for up to 2 months.

Mix the ingredients well and apply in circular motions and wait for 3-5 mins rinse off with warm water.

Not everyone skin is same, and depending on the severity of the stretch marks or cellulite, changes to the skin texture can take longer than others. Be patient! But definitely this scrub will be one of the best scrubs you have used in a long time.

Now, you finally have something to do with the grounds after you brew yourself a cup of fresh coffee!

Let me know your favorite hacks from Pinterest. Lets keep this list growing!
