DIY Hair Repair Mask

I’m back with one more DIY Hair mask. You know when you have frizzy curly unmanageable hair you try everything possible to manage them to look pretty, I totally understand you girl :(.  I try a lot of products on my hair but believe me I love my DIY’s more than the products at-least for my hair.

This is a quick DIY and gets the job done like a charm. All you need is 2 ingredients!

Coconut oil – Penetrate hair cuticles and other oils coat but coconut oil goes inside and moisturizeises hair, similar to silicon.

Honey – Restores hair moisture and retains moisture.

Coconut oil + Honey (3:1 ratio- Based on your hair length)  – Mix and melt in microwave

Add plain yogurt (optional)

Cover hair and from roots scalp and hair ends. I prefer to wear a old shirt and use my hands to quickly apply the runny mixture. Then put shower cap! Wait for 30 mins or more. You can leave it overnight if you prefer. Put a towel around your pillow so your pillow won’t get all greasy.

Shower as usual, and your hair will feel softer and healthier then ever! Less frizz and more silky smooth hair.

    1. Same girl, I never wash my hair without coconut oil at the least. But once a week I do this mask and the warm concoction is therapeutic and works twice as good as plain coconut oil!

  1. Aloha beautiful,

I just read your blog post and it seems that we are both crazy about coconut oil and its different ways of using it :-). I love your post and I def will try to mix it with the yoghurt. Great DIY 🙂 Thank you!

I have written a blog post on how I changed my hair care routine and how it started to grow longer and healthier. I also use the power of coconut oil on my hair 🙂

I always associate the sweet smell of coconut with vacation (here in Hawai’i I feel like it is vacation everyday ;-)) and a sexy, natural ‘sunkissed goddess’ tan.

I have posted a blog post today on my ‘holy grail product that gives you this absolute sunkissed, golden and healthy tan .

Check it out and follow me if you are interested 🙂

I will also cover in my next blog posts interesting topics such as my 60lbs weight loss journey (and hopefully motivate and inspire you to become the healthiest and strongest you :-)) beauty, fitness, different places around our little planet and different types of cuisines.

I hope to see you on my blog 🙂

    Have a lovely day!

    Aloha from Hawaii
