Natural hydrating face masks are very beneficial, especially for those who have dry skin. And as we go to fall-winter months our skin go thru a lot and keeping the skin hydrated is the best anti-aging treatment. The hydrating masks moisturize the skin and make it look refreshed, smooth, radiant and youthful.
Purpose of hydration is to bind water into our skin for youthful face- And this is done by Yogurt, Banana and Avacado. Who wants a dull dry face? Use Multani Mitti, Yogurt, Lemon Juice and Turmeric.
I do not measure when I do DIY’s but I have given a rough estimate of how much each ingredient can be used. It’s all your preference!
Fullers earth – Multani mitti ( 1tsp ) – Mineral rich clay used to clean pores and detoxify. Cleanses skin, removes dead skin, reduces inflammation, tightens skin, reduce appearance of wrinkles, rich in magnesium chloride that reduces acne and blemishes, reduces sun tan and pigmentation scars. Avacado ( 1tsp mashed)– Rich in fatty acids and Vitamin E, promotes overall healthy skin, hydrates and moisturizes skin, leaves skin looking firmer, youthful and healthy.
Banana (1tsp mashed)– Known as “Nature’s Botox”, actively fights against fine lines and wrinkles, promotes soft, supple skin, reduces blemishes, solves dry skin problems.
Lemon Juice (few drops) – Natural astringent, closes skin pores, prevents excess oiliness, perfect toner for skin, lightens skin, fades scars aids in collagen production keeping skin bright and firm.
Yogurt (1 tsp)– Rich in good bacteria, deodorizes skin, purifies skin pores, brightens complexion, hydrates skin, moisturizes and uplifts.
Turmeric (1/4 tsp) – Known for its antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties and helps reduce pigmentation on your face and even out your skin tone. Turmeric has also been dubbed the wonder product because of its ability to fight free radicals. Super anti-oxidant and is great for rashes and inflammation.
Mix all ingredients and apply to skin and rinse after 15 mins. I do it twice a week and switch between avocado and banana, depends on what I have. I prefer to make small batch and use it for one time use than refrigerating. Try this and let me know how your skin feels!
