I’m back with another review of BOXO Coffee subscription. I appreciate coffee throughout the year but when it’s Fall, everything pumpkin and Starbucks calls me everytime I go out. So having some variance at home makes me feel like having a coffee in bistro, and very important to coordinate in fall/winter mugs 😉
BOXO always include a card that talks a little bit about the roasters and I like how the card even shows you recommended brewing methods with the pictures in the left corner, quite helpful.
Rev Coffee Roasters – Costa Rica Alexis Badilla Cruz : I was more interested in trying this one first, interestingly it tasted more sweet might be because of Fudge aspect. Even though it has over power of strawberry taste there was a distinct after taste of milk chocolate flavor which I liked a lot. Combination of sweetness from strawberry and fudge gave strawberry milk shake flavor which I loved, also because I drink my coffee with cream and sugar it enhanced every bit of sweetness in it!
Firelight Coffee Roasters – Brazil BOA Vista: I very occasionally drink my coffee black with sugar so when I get something really tart or citrus flavored coffee I try to avoid cream. When I opened the package I could immediately pick citrus smell from beans. I use french press when I drink black coffee and this was the right kind of coffee that was mellow and tart at the same time. This is straight up cocoa flavored coffee, I felt distinct chocolate flavor mixed with sweetness and tangy taste of mandarin, a blend in a good way.
BOXO is a subscription box service for coffee that delivers 2 roasts from two new roasters every month. You can choose from a monthly plan for $28.99 or yearly for $299.99. Your fresh whole beans will arrive within 5 days of roasting. I love this fact because both beans maintained its complex flavors for good two weeks of brewing. Just awesome coffee. Shipping is included! Plans include either 1 lb or 2 lbs of finest whole beans delivered to door steps.
Let me know what flavors are your favorite in Fall, everything Pumpkin or any other flavors 🙂
