As the temperatures drop and we all lean to more thick moisturizing products, rich hand creams and spicy fragrances, adding a facial oil to the routine helps to keep our complexion flake-free. If you are new to facial oils and do not know where to start or want to give it a try, then this is the best bet at drugstore. If you’re looking for something to replenish drier skin I’d highly suggest you read my review.
KEY INGREDIENTS: Olive, jojoba, English lavender, rosemary geranium, orange peel, Roman chamomile, rose flower, lavandin, and marjoram leaf oils (moisturizers)
It’s a blend of eight essential oils, but this facial oil doesn’t feel greasy on skin. The formula sinks in quickly, soothing dryness, and it leaves complexions dewier right away. This oil is actually highly hydrating, more so than any facial oil I’ve tried before. Instructions suggest to use 4- 5 drops but 2 – 3 are just as moisturizing and is plenty for entire face. It absorbs very quickly and leaves behind a slightly dewy to the touch finish. I apply my regular daytime moisturizer on top of it. My skin feels instantly softer and more supple. Flakier areas are eased and my skin takes on a more even appearance. I give it bonus points for layering well under makeup. I apply a different more thicker oil blends at night, you can check my love of oils here.
The bottle may not be as fancy as higher-end versions, but I really love how soft this one makes my skin and one that I can wear well under makeup and is readly available at drugstore. You know I do not review anything skincare unless I give it a fair shot and time, and when it gets repurchased then it means something. I’m now trying other oils from drugstore as well, I will soon update what I think about them.
I know this has been around for sometime and I might be late in reviewing but anything that will replenish dry flaky skin needs a mention. Check my blog post of Drugstore Dry Skin Soothers For Winter for other skin saviors!
