I have 2 reviews from the same brand back to back but I cannot tell you how excited I’m trying these amazing products and the results I have been seeing since using these two. The other product I’m talking is about Exuviance Triple Microdermabrasion Face Polish(review here). In conjunction with these 2 product my skin has transformed drastically, want to know how then keep reading…
The NeoStrata Foaming Glycolic Wash is an anti-aging and soap free self-foaming cleanser that contains 18% glycolic acid and 2% lactobionic acid. This is a stronger cleanser than a lot of products out there that contains hydroxyacids. The foam is thick and luxurious and stays foamy the entire time you are washing, which I love.
Feels like I do not wish to go back to regular face wash after this. Before using this, I was prone to breakouts during my period and sometimes in-between. My skin is so clear, even during my period. I rarely break out during that time anymore. It also made my skin smooth–like it has a dewy glow. I began seeing results after the first week and definitely by week three. It exfoliates and makes your face look so clean and clear after every wash. Initially it made my skin a smidge red, but that it would die down. I’m used to very mild cleanser and this was a little too much for my skin but once I got used to it, it was fine. This is the only cleanser I need. Mild exfoliation and complete make-up removal.
One note of precaution: since this product contains AHA and PHA, you should not use it in conjuction with another product that contains either salicylic acid, a beta-hydroxyacid, or retinol. AHA, BHA, PHA, and retinol are exfoliators and using these products together may over-thin out the stratum corneum. Also, please use sunscreen before heading out of the house to protect your newly exfoliated skin from having sunburn.
Ingredients in NeoStrata Foaming Glycolic Wash AHA 20
- Arginine: Arginine is one of the most common amino acids that occur naturally. It has an amazing anti-aging potential.
- Glycolic Acid: Glycolic acid is highly water-soluble and is commonly deployed as an important part of skin-care products. It has been acknowledged as an effective dead-cell remover. Consequently, it leaves behind smoother and softer skin in its wake. Moreover, it also makes the skin look brighter and more radiant since it takes care of all minor discolorations effectively.
- Grape Fruit Extract: Grapefruit is a citrus fruit and its extract has been used in the making of medicines and skin care products since centuries. It helps your skin to relax as it takes care of muscle fatigue. Moreover, it has proved to be good for the treatment of acne since it can also act as an effective toner.
- Glycerin: Glycerin is a colorless, odorless, viscous compound. It has a hygroscopic nature and can claim a multitude of benefits to its name. This organic compound; comprising of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen; is a wonderful cleanser, moisturizer and toner.
Advantages are Deep exfoliation and cleansing, Cell renewal and Softening of age lines and wrinkles. Disadvantages are like other glycolic acid products, this cleanser can cause itchiness and irritation on sensitive skins. It is also expensive compared to regular cleansers in market.
This cleanser means business. You will see and feel a noticeable difference in your skin in a matter of days! It makes your other products like toners, serums and moisturizers more easily absorbed and more effective. One small foamy pump goes a long way. Definitely recommend this product if you are already used to AHA as this is a high level of glycol acid. Keeps skin clear and wrinkles away. It works great in the summer months to remove oil and dead skin.
Hope this review helped! ‘Til next time!
