Just in time for Summer – Nature Republic Aloe Vera Gel Review

Before summer arrives I had to get this post out, because this product is meant to be an all-over gel for soothing and cooling skin that will sooth the irritation from exposure to heat. Nature Republic Aloe Vera gel is especially pleasing during the summer, when you want something light on your skin or if you have sensitive skin, this moisturizing gel is a great way to not have something heavy on your skin that feels like you’re suffocating. This is a fantastic multi-use product that is less than $10 on Amazon and will work for entire family!

I’d like to point out this gel is 92% straight Aloe Vera and the concentration of alcohol is very small. The packaging also has a charming, fresh, green colour to it and really reminds me of spring and summer, appropriately enough. The gel is cool to the touch but dissolves easily when applied to the skin. It smells amazing like fresh aloe and has a slight cooling sensation when you first apply it. It’s quickly absorbed into your skin after you gently rub it in for a little bit.

Not only does the aloe gel protects from sun damage but it also reduce redness from irritation, while moisturizing. It’s light enough for use in the summer without making your face more oily. I love how this product is for multi-use, giving you a bang for your buck. You can apply it all over your body, to your face mask for extra moisture. You can apply it to your nails for healthier nails. You can blend it along with your foundation for smoother finish. I have mixed it with my regular foundation and I feel it turns to BB cream kind of consistency giving me medium dewy finish. aloe2I have used it as moisturizer for both body and face, and I have slathered on my toddler too. I used it as  face mask, eye mask, treat superficial burn by the oven or sunburn as an after sun lotion but there are so many different ways you can use it. For example, shaving gel for a closer shave, hair gel, and many more! It’s been amazing so far. My skin feels so smooth and soft after application and the coolness feels refreshing.

I also use this for a bunch of DIY hacks all summer long like face mists, soothing face masks etc. This aloe also is in my AM and PM skin care routine and goes right before a light weight moisturizer.

Overall I think to get a huge tub for less than $10 from either Amazon or iHerb is not a bad idea. I have loved it and repurchased. I haven’t found other Aloe gel that is economical as this one and the one that my entire family can use!
